We conduct due diligence on our supply chains to identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking, this overview sets out our expectations and obligations for organisations engaged in supply chains and procurement processes:
- Compliance with Modern Slavery Act 2015; ensuring alignment with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, organisations must confirm their status as Commercial Organisations and fulfil annual reporting obligations.
- Advocating participation in the Ethical Employment in Supply Chains Code of Conduct to advocate for ethical procurement practices across supply chains.
- Affirming Tai Calon’s accreditation as a Living Wage Employer and promoting adherence to the Living Wage on contracts, with encouragement for suppliers to match this standard.
- Integration of Equality & Diversity considerations into procurement processes, necessitating suppliers to disclose their employment practices and demonstrate efforts against modern slavery and human rights abuses.
- Provision of equalities training to all employees and staff under contracts to ensure equitable treatment.
- Expectation for Contractors, Suppliers, and Service Providers to cultivate inclusive cultures within their organisations, prioritising equality and diversity in decision-making processes.
