If you need help accessing parts of your home, see if we can help make things easier.
Aids and adaptations are changes made to your home to make it easier for you to move around and do everyday tasks. These changes could include:
- Grab rails
- Lever taps
- Raised sockets
- Door intercoms
- Level access showers
- Stairlifts
- Wheelchair ramps
Can I have a home adaptation?
Before requesting an aid or adaptation, contact Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council’s local social care team. They will work out which resource or adaptation is right for you. They will also tell you if you need to be assessed by an occupational therapist. There is no charge for occupational therapist assessments. You can find out more about this on their website: https://www.blaenau-gwent.gov.uk/
