Free Pest Control Service for Blaenau Gwent Residents

At Tai Calon, we understand the importance of keeping your home safe and free from pests. That’s why we’ve partnered with Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council and Rentokil Pest Control to offer a FREE pest control service for domestic rat infestations.

How We’re Supporting You

To make pest control more accessible, we’ve provided funding to the Council so that all residents can receive free rat control services. We know how frustrating and concerning pest problems can be, as we frequently receive reports from tenants about rats and other household pests.

Discounted Pest Control for Eligible Residents

If you receive any of the following benefits, you can also get 50% off treatments for other pests, including mice, bedbugs, cockroaches, and fleas:

✔️ Working or Child Tax Credit
✔️ Job Seeker’s Allowance (Income-Based)
✔️ Housing Benefit

What Pests Are Covered?

✅ Free for all domestic properties:
  • Rats
🔵 50% discount for eligible residents:
  • Mice
  • Bedbugs
  • Cockroaches
  • Fleas
⚫ Additional pest treatments available (standard charges apply):
  • Black garden ants
  • Cluster flies
  • House crickets, firebrats & silverfish
  • Textile moths
  • Wasps’ nests

How the Service Works

A Rentokil pest control expert will visit your home to assess and treat any rat infestations. Depending on their findings, they may:

1️⃣ Set toxic bait if an active infestation is found.
2️⃣ Use non-toxic bait to monitor for potential infestations.
3️⃣ Return to collect unused bait if no further treatment is needed.
